Clean energy technology implementation and sustainability depend on public support for renewable energy projects. Numerous social, cultural, and political variables can help or hurt the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure, regardless of the fact that it is good for the environment and the economy. an international comparison of public opinion on renewable energy projects, looking at what influences people to either favour or oppose such initiatives in various parts of the world. Case studies from both developed and developing countries are examined to shed light on the interplay between public opinion, local pushback, and the influence of policy and stakeholder involvement in determining societal acceptability. examines the effects of variables like environmental worries, economic possibilities, cultural values, and faith in the government on renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and hydropower. In order to resolve public concerns and increase community engagement in renewable energy projects, this study identifies important factors that generate social acceptance. The results highlight the need of considering local contexts, involving stakeholders early on in the planning process, and ensuring that the advantages of renewable energy projects are spread fairly in order to build social acceptance. In the end, getting people on board with renewable energy sources is both a struggle and an opportunity.
