Abstract

The importance of emotional intelligence (EI), which includes the capacity to identify, comprehend, and control one's emotions, in the classroom is being more and more acknowledged. the function of EQ in influencing the effectiveness of educators and, by extension, the results achieved by their students. Using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, the study delves into the ways in which emotionally intelligent educators transform their classrooms into safe spaces where children thrive academically and behaviourally. The results show that pupils are more engaged and do better in school when their teachers have high EI because they are better able to manage their classrooms, deal with stress, and adapt to new situations. Furthermore, these educators are crucial in fostering students' social and emotional growth via role modelling and supplementary pedagogical approaches. In order to improve educational efficacy and student achievement, the study suggests that professional development programs for teachers incorporate emotional intelligence training.
