Abstract

In order to guarantee efficient governance and promote public confidence in governmental institutions, transparency and accountability are essential concepts. In many public administrations, corruption is still a major problem that compromises the effectiveness of government operations and the provision of basic services. the importance of accountability and openness in reducing corruption by examining anti-corruption measures in public administration. numerous tactics used by governments around the world to encourage transparency and integrity in public sector activities, such as institutional reforms, legal frameworks, and technology use. Through the examination of case studies from nations with differing degrees of success in their anti-corruption initiatives, the study pinpoints the essential elements that make reforms effective and draws attention to the obstacles that stand in the way of advancement. The results highlight the value of a multifaceted strategy for combating corruption, one that incorporates not just robust institutional and legal safeguards but also a dedication to international collaboration, cultural transformation, and citizen involvement. In order to contribute to the development of more responsive, equitable, and corruption-free governance systems, this study ultimately seeks to offer policy recommendations that will improve accountability and transparency in public administration.
