Electromagnetic waves form the foundation of modern wireless communication systems, enabling the transmission of information over long distances without the need for physical conductors. These waves, which consist of oscillating electric and magnetic fields, travel through space at the speed of light and carry signals used for communication across various technologies, including radio, television, mobile networks, satellite systems, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and emerging fifth-generation (5G) communication networks. The ability of electromagnetic waves to propagate through different media makes them indispensable for global connectivity and information exchange. Wireless communication relies on the generation, modulation, transmission, and reception of electromagnetic signals across a wide range of frequencies within the electromagnetic spectrum. Different frequency bands are utilized for specific communication purposes based on their propagation characteristics, bandwidth availability, and signal penetration capabilities. Advances in electromagnetic wave technology have significantly improved communication speed, reliability, capacity, and coverage, supporting the rapid growth of digital communication networks worldwide.
