Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart surveillance technologies have significantly transformed modern security systems, public monitoring, and digital governance in contemporary society. By integrating machine learning, computer vision, facial recognition, biometric identification, data analytics, and automated decision-making systems, smart surveillance technologies enable real-time monitoring, threat detection, behavioral analysis, and predictive security management. the role of Artificial Intelligence in the development of smart surveillance technologies and examines their impact on security, public safety, privacy, and ethical governance. The study investigates various AI-driven surveillance systems used in smart cities, transportation networks, border security, law enforcement, commercial environments, and digital communication platforms. AI-powered surveillance technologies analyze large volumes of visual, audio, and behavioral data to identify suspicious activities, recognize individuals, and support automated security operations. Machine learning algorithms improve the efficiency and accuracy of surveillance systems by continuously learning from collected data and adapting to changing environments.
