Abstract

Edge Computing is an advanced computing model that processes data closer to the source of data generation rather than relying entirely on centralized cloud servers. With the rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, smart technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and real-time digital applications, the demand for faster data processing and low-latency communication has increased significantly. Edge computing addresses these challenges by enabling local data processing at the network edge, improving speed, efficiency, and responsiveness in modern computing systems. Real-time data processing refers to the immediate collection, analysis, and response to data as it is generated. Edge computing supports real-time processing by reducing delays associated with transmitting data to distant cloud data centers. This capability is highly important in applications such as autonomous vehicles, smart cities, healthcare monitoring systems, industrial automation, surveillance systems, online gaming, and financial transactions, where rapid decision-making is essential.
