Abstract

Electrochemistry plays a critical role in the development of energy storage and conversion technologies. This paper examines electrochemical principles underlying batteries, fuel cells, and electrochemical capacitors. As global energy demand increases, efficient and sustainable energy solutions are essential.
The paper discusses electrode materials, electrolyte design, and redox reactions that govern energy conversion efficiency. Advances in electrochemical research have led to improved battery performance, longer lifespan, and reduced environmental impact. Challenges such as energy density, safety, and material sustainability are also addressed.
The paper concludes that electrochemistry is a key discipline in addressing global energy challenges and advancing renewable energy technologies.
